DRAFT versions of the revised 2018-2019 School Calendar and the proposed 2019-2020 School Calendar are now available. Pending Board of Education approval, these calendars now include inclement weather makeup days taken from Spring Break rather than being added on to the end of the school year. Inclement weather days that occur after March 14, 2019 will be made up during the 2019 Spring Break. Specific makeup dates are listed on the lower right of the 2018-2019 calendar. Inclement weather days that occur after February 16, 2020 will be made up during the 2020 Spring Break. Specific makeup dates are listed on the lower right of the 2019-2020 calendar.

I am pleased to announce that Barclay Early Childhood Center has been selected as a 2018 Promising Practice School by Character.org. Our application centered around our work with Reverse Inclusion with Speech Support.
Attention Parents:Barclay ECC has several PM OPENINGS (1-3:30 pm) for 3 and 4 year old boys and girls (must be 3 or 4 by Oct 1, 2018). Our program runs 5 days a week, 2 ½ hours a day. PM is 1-3:30. Parents provide transportation. Tuition is $2,500.00/year; $250/month. Dr. Meloche has issued an important letter regarding the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment for Science (NJSLA-S) field test, to be administered to 5th, 8th and 11th grade students in May. This assessment replaces the NJASK Sciene and NJ Biology Competency Test (NJBCT) administered in previous years. This letter details the process required for refusing the test. Refusals must be received by building principals by Friday, May 4, 2018.
Registration for CHPS School-Age Child Care (SACC) and Extended Day Child Care (EDCC) for the 2018-2019 school year is now open. Parents may register their children now online.

Applications for the 2018-2019 school year are available on our website. Our enrollment period ended March 1, 2018, but we are now taking applications for the waiting list. Tuition for the 2018-2019 school year will be $2,500.00. Classes are 5 days a week, 2 1/2 hours a day. AM session is 9-11:30 (no requests for AM are taken); PM session is 1-3:30. There is NO transportation provided. Applications can be mailed, faxed (856-795-4788) or sent via email (to firstname.lastname@example.org). Join us for Designer Bag Bingo December 1, 2017. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start time. Tickets purchased by November 22nd are $25 and tickets purchased after November 22nd are $30. Get your orders in to the Main Office as soon as possible. At this time, tickets will be available at the door.
Our Green Apple Day of Service is planned for Saturday, October 14 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM. The event will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Please check the website for updates.
Barclay Early Childhood Center is celebrating The Week of Respect from October 2 - 6. During this time period, we join schools across the State of New Jersey in helping students to develop age-appropriate interpersonal skills so that they can demonstrate respect for others. Our Ambassador for Respect is Rusty the Respectful Raccoon. Ask your child if he or she has met Rusty!
Starting July 24th, the front entry doors at Barclay Early Childhood Center will be closed. All parents and guests are asked to enter Door #3 (located at the mid-point of the building). There will be signage to help you find the temporary building entrance. We expect construction to continue through the summer and, most likely, into the start of the school year.
Please bring in non-perishable food items to Barclay Early Childhood Center's Lobby. All food will be donated to the Cherry Hill Food Bank. Collection will run from June 1 - 16, 2017. Thank you!

All Cherry Hill Public Schools are closed for Spring Break from Monday, April 10 through Friday, April 14, 2017. Schools will reopen for all students and staff on Monday, April 17, 2017 – the makeup day for the inclement weather closure on March 14.
The make-up day for the snow day on March 14, 2017 will be Monday, April 17, 2017.

Assisted Drop Off will allow parents who have more than one child in their car to use the drop off systemYour student must be signed up for the Assisted Drop Off program via the Main Office.

The 2016-2017 Lottery Applications will be available ON OUR WEBSITE and in our MAIN OFFICE as of February 1, 2016. Your child should be 3 or 4 by October 1, 2016. The application period runs from February 1, 2016 thru March 1, 2016 at 4 pm. You will be directed to complete the application and MAIL TO OUR CENTRAL OFFICES (address will be on the Application). Applications will also be available at our Open Houses on February 11, 2016 (10 am) and February 16, 2016 (7:00 pm)*. Please contact our secretary, Colleen Thompson at 856-429-7283 ext 4010 to reserve a spot. Notification letters will be mailed out on or before March 31, 2016. Barclay students will participate in the Martin Luther King Day of Service on Tuesday, January 19th. Students will be creating Valentine's Day cards which will be sent to our troops overseas.
Parents are invited to contact their child's classroom teacher for the times students will be working on the cards - volunteers are needed!
This project is brought to Barclay Early Childhood Center by our Character Education Committee.
